ORDINANCE NO. 1996 - �
AN ORDINANCE OP THE HOARD OF CO[7PPCY CANAIISSIONEP.S, GIBSON COUNl'Y,
INDIANA, PROVIDZNG POR THE GIBSON CAUNPY BOARD OP HEALTH TO
ESTABLISH AND CALLECT FEES POR SERVICES AS AqTHORIZW WITH THE
ACCOUNTING AND TRANSPER OP SOCH PEES AS PROVZDED BY IC. 16-20-1-
27.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OP CAMMISSIONERS OF GIBSON CAUNfY,
STATE OP INDZANA, THAT:
Seccion 1. The Gibson County Board of Health is empowered to
establish and collect fees in accordance with the following
definitions and provisiona.
Section 2. Definitions: The following definitions shall
apply in [he interpretation and enforcement of this Ordinance:
A. The term (board) as used herein shall mean the Gibson County
Board of Health as provided for in ZC 16-20-2-2.
B. The [erm (health officer) shall mean the County Health
Officer as provided in ZC 16-20-2-16.
C. The [erm (person) shall mean any individual, parCnership,
co-partnership, firm, company, or association.
Section 3. Fees for Services
The Board of Health shall charge a service fee for the following
services:
A. Por services provided by the Gibson County Health Department
in providing a copy of a certificate of birth and dea[h. .
8. For services provided in shippinq rabies suspects to the
indiana State Soard of Heal[h for analysis.
C. Por services provided by the Gibson County Health Department
in providing a Tuberculosis Test. .'
Section 9. Collection, AccounCinq, and Disposition.
A. Collection of fees: The Board shall collect such fees
es[ablished as part of this Ordinance in accordance with the
schedule designated as Schedule A which is attached hereto and
made a parc hereof.
e. Accounting for Fees: All fees collected by the Board shall
be accounted Eor in detail for each program service area. .
C.' Disposition of Fees: All fees collected by the Board shall
be transferred to the Gibson County Health Pund.�
Section 5. Uncons[itutionality Clause.
Should any section, paragraph , clause, or phrase of [his
Ordinance be declared unconsti[utional or invalid, the remainder
of said Ordinance shall no[ be affected thereby. �
Seccion 6. Repeal and Date of Effect.
A. All Ordinances and�par[s of Ordinance in conflict with the
Ordinance are hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect as of the�ist day of July, 1996.

SUBJECT: Changes in Gibson County Ordinance No. 1996-6 (Service fees)
At the regular Boazd of Health meeting on February 5, 2001, the Gibson County Boazd of
Health members, approved a change in the fee for a Tuberculosis Test, the addition of a fee for
immunization administration, and a change in the disposition of fees.
Attached is a copy of the present ordinance (# 1996-6) and fist of the approved changes.
