ORDINANCE NO. 2000-�
An Ordinance of Gibson County, Indiana appropriating economic
development income tax revenues
WHEREAS, the Boazd of Commissioners and the County Councilof Gibson County, Indiana
("County") has determined to acquire and construct a tomado siren system; and
WHEREAS, a notice of a public hearing on the appropriation of a portion of the County's
distributive share of the Gibson County Economic Development Income Tax ("EDIT") in an amount
not to exceed Che Ilnhed ��suri Dollazs ($ 100, 000.00 ) to be applied on the cost ofthe
Project was properly published in the South Gibson Star Times and the Prrnceton Clairian and the
proofs of publication were presented to the County Council and placed in the County's records; and
WHEREAS, the Boazd of Commissioners has amended the County's capital improveinent
plan for the EDIT to include the Project;
NOW, TI-IEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY "IT-IE COUNTY COUNCIL OF GIBSON
COLTNT'Y, INDIANA, that:
Section 1. An appropriation in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars
�$ 100 ; 000 . 00 ) is hereby made to be applied on the cosu of the Project T'he funds to meet
this appropriation will be provided out of the EDIT; that this appropriation will be in addition to all
otl�er appropriations provided for in the ezisting budget and tax levy for the current yeaz.
Section 2. The Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to report and certify the additional -
appropriation to the State Boazd of Tax Commissioners.
Section 3. Tlus ordinance shall be in fiill force and effect from and after its passage.
