BE IT RESOLVED that all Streets and/or Roads in Gibson County, Siate of Indiana, shall be prepared in the follo���ine manner to be considered for acceptance into the Gibson Count}= Road System: L RIGHT-OF-�VAY: Fifry (50) feet minimum; t�venry-five (2�) feet on each side of the center-li�e. 2. PAVEMENT WIDTH: The �vidth of surface shall be a minimum of t�venri� (20) feet. 3. SHOULDERS: The �vidth of shoulders shall be three (3) feet on each side of the pavement. The material for shoulders shall be #53 Compacted Aeeresate Base conformine to current Indiana Department of Transportation Specifications and Standazds. 4. CURBS: The curbs shall be a COMBIIVED CURB AND GUTTER Type hventy-four (24) inches from front to back of a type approved prior to use b�� the Gibson County Highwav Eneineer or a representative designated b}� the Board of County Commissioners of Gibson County. SUB-GRADE: The sup-arade shall be free of all veeetation; organics. roots, and unsuitable soil. All embanl:ments shall conform ro good conswction practices and shall be constructed of soils that «�ill compact to: 9�% Standard Proctor AASHTO T-99 and AASHTO T-90. All soil materials will be placed in eight (8) inch loose lifts. The sub-erade prior to the placement of Stone or Gravel aeeregates shall be rolled to their masimum densin� and all spongy and yielding material shall be replaced with material suitable for compaction. All top-soils shall be removed. PRIOR TO GRADNG OPERATIONS. THE COUNTY HIGH�6'AY ENGINEER OR A REPRESENTATNE OF THE BOARD OF COM�4ISSIONERS MUST BE NOTIFIED IN ORDER FOR INSPECT[ON OF THE GRADING OPERAT[ONS DURING CONSTRUCT[ON. ALL SUBRADE MATERIAL SHALL BE COMPACTED AND TESTED WITH A NUCLEAR DENSITY GUAGE. 6. P[PE STRUCTURES: The minimum shall be fifteen (1 �) inches aluminum or fifreen (1 �) inches round corrugated metal pipe. Length: minimum under propertv entrances ���i11 be t��°enty-four (24) feet. AGGREGATE BASE: After the preparation of the sub-erade has been completed and approved to the above requirements: a. Four (4) inches of #2 Limestone conforming to the Indot Standard Specifications shall be placed. The stone ��oids shall be choked or filled with minimum three (3) inches #�3 Limestone and rolled until keyed with a self propelled smooth drum roller and/or vibratory roller. b. Afrer the four (4) inches of #2 Limestone or Gravel then three (3) inches of #�3 compacted aeereeate conforming to the INDOT specifications shall be placed and this shall be proof rolled with a self propelled smooth drum roller or vibratory type equipment, may be used. c. The above material will total seven (7) inches in depth and shall be placed a total «�idth of thiRy (30) feet. d. The cro���n shall conform to the finish surface '/< of an inch per foot. BITUIviINOUS SURFACE: The aeereeate base �vill be primed ���ith MG70 at a rate of 0.2� to 0.80 eallons per square yard dependine on the condition of the surface. No course shall be placed on a primed surface until the bimminous tack coat material has penetrated and the surface is drv. a. Material for the (n��o) 2 inch surface shall be Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement T��pe A (#11 Stone). b. Surface Thickness: T�vo (2) inches ���hen compacted. Place 220 pounds per square yard. c. Material for the Intermediate Course shall be Hot Mix Asphalt T�Pe A(#8 Stone). Light traffic shall have a minimum of four (4) inches of intermediate HNiA. Placed at 440 pounds per square ��ard. d. Medium Traffic Intermediate Thicl:ness: six (6) inches when compacted. Placed at 660 pounds per square yard. e. Heavy traffic pa�ement sections shall be desiened by an Indiana Licensed Professional Eneineer and be submitted to the Commissioners for approval. E Compaction: Self Propelled Smooth Drum Roller. g.
