County Commissioner Resolutions - April 1993��{ RESOLIITION //g,3-/' � �. . y.�; , � � � , � � „ � RESOLUTION OF TIiE COn9MISSIONERS OF GIBSON COUiYTY, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBA4ITTAL OF THE CFF APPLICATION TO THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND ADDRESSING RELATED MATTERS WHEREAS, the Gibson County Commissioners, Indiana recognize the need to stimulate growth and to maintain a sound economy within its corporate limits; and WHEREAS, The Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, authorizes the Indiana Department of Commerce ro provide grants to local units of government to meet the housing and communiry development needs of low and malerate income persons; and WHEREAS, the Gibson County Commissioners propose [o apply for federal assistance under the Housing and Communiry Development Act of 1974, as amended, fiscal year 1993 program, administered by the Indiana Department of Commerce and referred to as the Community Focus Fund (CFF); and WHEREAS, the Gibson County Commissioners, Indiana have conducted public hearings prior to the submission of an application ro the Indiana Depanment of Commerce, said public heazings to assess the housing, public facilities and economic needs of its low and moderate income residents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF GIBSON COUNTY, INDIANA THAT: A final application for the transmission of water from Patoka Iake Regional Water and Sewer District to connect ten water urilities including the Pike-Gibson Water Corporadon be prepared and submitted to the Department of Commerce, State of Indiana. The President of the Gibson County Commissioners be authorized to sign said application or applications. If such application shall be approved in �vhole or in part, the President of the Gibson County Commissioners shall be authorized to operate the gran[ program, to carry such program to completion, and ro sign such contracts, interlocal agreements, and other documents as may be necessary to accomplish them. 4. Contingent upon the receipt of any such grant funds the party to commit [he match shall be Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District, through a FmIlA loan in the amount of at least $775,000. This resolution shall become effective immediately.
