County Commissioner Resolutions - October 2012 (2)�� RESOLUTION 2012-7 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 1\TENT TO CONDUCT A COM�9ISSIONERS' SALE TO SELL TAX SALE CERTIFICATES FOR PROPERTIES THAT ARE SEVERELY DELI\'QUENT IN PAYMENT OF PROPERTY TAXES. NHEREAS. there are several properties in Gibson County that are severely delinquent in the payment of propert�� tazes, having been offered for tax sales and which received no bids equal ro or in excess of minimum sale price. The parcel numbers of those properties being attached to [his resolution as "Exhibit A". and ��rHEREAS, there is an assessed value associated ��•ith these properties for ta�ation purposes, but no ta�es are being collected, therefore causino a lower than expected tas distribution to those tasing units and ta�ine districts within ���hich the properties are located, and \VHEREAS, the Gibson County Commissioners desire to have these properties back on the tax rolls ���ith taaes beina collected. and �1rHEREAS, IC 6-I.I-24-6, et seq. allo�vs for the County Commissioners to acquire a lien on those delinquent properties and receive issuance of the tax sale certificates for those properties. without takine title to the properties: therefore limitine the liability and cost normall�� associated ���ith takine tide, N0�1', THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED by the Gibson County Board of Commissioners [hat the Counq� Executi�-e shall acquire liens and recei��e tas sale certificates of the properties listed on Exhibit A that are severely delinquent and sell said certificates a[ a properly advertised Commissioner Tax Certificate sale.
