TAX AHATEMENT RESOLUTION
Gibson County, Indiana �
WHEREAS, the County Council of Gibson County, Indiana,
recognizes and acknowledges the need to stimulate economic —
development and growth in Gibson County, Indiana; and
WHEREAS the County Council further recognizes and
acknowledges that incentive to locate industry on unutilized
or utilized land and to encourage the improvement or
, rehabilitation of real estate would be in the best interests
of Gibson County, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, Indiana Code IC 6-1.1-12.1-1 through 6-1.1-
12.1-6 provide for the abatement of real property taxes to
owners of rehabilitated or redeveloped real property
located within an economic revitalization area and personal
property taxes to the owners of new manufacturing equip�aent
installed in an economic revitalization area; and
WHEREAS, the County Council further recognizes and
�acknowledges the benefit of designating specified areas
within the County as economic revitalization areas for the
purpose of tax abatement; and
WHEREAS, the County Council finds that in addition to
that area heretofore designated as an economic
revitalization area by Resolution NO. /07-/07•�� , the
area hereinafter identified commonly known as the Cardinal
Pronertv located on Lvles Station Road. Route 3, Princeton,
Zndiana is also an area that should be designated as an
. economic revitalization area qualifying for tax abateaent in
that such area has become undesirable for normal development
and occupancy because of the lack of development and
" cessation of growth in that area and because of the
character of occupancy of the facility and lack of use
thereof, all of which has impaired values and have prevented
norr�al development and use of the property and facility; and

WHEREAS, the County Council further finds that the
present facility located in the identified.area may be
technologically and economically obsolete and which
obsolescence will lead to a decline in employment and tax
revenues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
GIBSON COUNTY, INDIANA, THAT:
SECTION ONE•
Des�anation of Economic Revitalization Area Oualifvina for
Tax Abatement•
The County Council of Gibson County, Indiana, hereby
defines and designates as an economic revitalization area,
that area identified on Exhibit "A", being the legal
description of such area, and on Exhibit "B", being a map of
such area, Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B", being attached
hereto and made a part hereof which area is commonly known
as the Cardinal Property located approximately 1 1/2 miles
west of Princeton, Indiana, on Lyles Station Road, which
area shall be entitled to qualify for tax abatement pursuant
to Zndiana Code ZC 6-1.1-12.1-1 through 6-1.1-12.1-6 as
amended from time to time.
SECTION TWO:
Procedure for Oualifvina for Tax Abatement:
A. An owner of property or new manufacturing equipment
who desires to obtain a deduction for tax abatement must
file a certified deduction application, on forms prescribed
by the State Board of Tax Commissioners, with the Auditor of
Gibson County, Indiana, pursuant to Indiana Code Section IC
6-1.1-12.1-5 and/or 1-1.1-12.1-5.5 as amended. Further,
such owner shall forward a copy of said Application to the
Assessor of the Township in vhich the property is located
for verification of the correctness of the Application by
said Assessor to the County Auditor.
B. The deduction for the rehabilitation or
redevelopment of real property and for the installation of
new manufacturing equipment shall be for the amounts and for
the number of years as provided by the applicable provisions
of Indiana Code Sections IC 6-1.1-12.1-1 through 6-1.1-12.1-
-6.
SECTION THREE:
Effective Date:
Notice of the adoption and substance of this resolution
shall be published in accordance with IC 5-3-1 and said
notice shall state that a description of the affected area
is available and can be inspected in the County Assessor's
Office. Said notice shall contain a date when this Council
will receive and hear all remonstrances and objections from
interested persons. After considering the evidence at said
hearinq, this Council shall take final action deteroining
whether the qualifications of an economic revitalization
area have been met and confirming, modifyinq and confirming,
or rescindinq this resolution. This resolution shall be in
full force and effect from and after the confirmance or from
and after its modification and confirmance after said
hearing. '�

hearing on the same, which said public hearing was,properly
advertised, according to lav, and which said hearing vas

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF TAX ABATEMENT
RESOLUTION AND PUBLIC HEARING
� Notice is hereby given that the County Council of
Gibson County did on ,�ecc,�6�- /a, /�ir�l q adopt a
Tax Abatement Resolution desigrmting certain areas as set --.
forth in said Resolution as economic revitalization areas
within the meaning of Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1. A
_, description of the affected areas are available and can be
inspected in the Office of the Gibson County Assessor, Court
House, Princeton, Indiana. Notice is further given that a
procedure for qualification for tax abatement was set forth
in said Resolution.
Notice is further given that on ilerr�nl,nr 1? 79R9
at 4�(N1 �.m. at the County Commissioner's Room, basement
of Courthouse, Princeton, Indiana, the County Council will
receive and hear all remonstrances and objections from
interested persons. After considering the evidence, the
County Council shall take final action determining vhether

been�met and shall confirm, modify and confirm, or rescind
' the prior Resolution.

A part of the west half of the southwest quarter of Section
1, Township 2 South, Range 11 west, more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at a point in the north
line of said west half 140 feet vest of the northeast corner
of said west half; said point being at the intersection of
the north 11ne of said west half and the west right-of-way
line of the 0. 6 E. I. Railroad; from said place of --
beginning run thence west along the north line of said west
half 375 feet; thence south and parallel with the west line
of said west half 521 feet; thence east and parallel to the
north line of said west half 515 feet; thence north and
parallel to the west line of said west half 5o feet, more or
less, to the intersection of the vest right-of-way line of
the aforesaid railroad; thence north along said west right-
of-way line by a 1 degree curve to the right a distance of
476 feet to the place of beginning and containing 5 acres,
more or less.
SU&TECT TO the south half of a county road right-of-way
along the north side thereof.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM a part of the west half of the southwest

Patoka Township, Gibson County, Indiana, and more
particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in
the north line of said mest half 140 feet west of the
northeast corner of said west half; said point being at the
intersection of the north line of said west half and the
west right-of-vay line of the C. S E. Z Railroad; from said
place of beginning run thence vest along the north line of
said west half 175 feet; thence south and parallel with the
west line of said west half 521 feet; thence east and
parallel to the north line of said west half 315 feet;
thence north and parallel to the west line of said west half
65 feet, more or less, to the intersection of the west
right-of-way line of the aforesaid railroad; thence north
along said west right-of-way line by a 1 degree curve to the
right a distance of 476 feet to the place of beginning and
containing 2.6079 acres, more or less.
SUHJECT TO the south half of a county road right-of-way line
along the north side thereof.
