Roll Call.
Present: Jeremy Overton, President, LeAnn Smith, VP, D. Craig Pflug, William George, George Ankenbrand, William McConnell,
and C.T. Montgomery, County Auditor.
Absent/Excused: Tony Wolfe.
Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Overton.
Binding Reviews – LeAnn Smith made a motion to approve the Owensville-Montgomery
Township Fire resolution for appropriations and tax rate levy of $356,138.00 and total tax rate of 0.0949. George Ankenbrand seconded the motion and then motion passed 6-0.

made a motion to approve the Gibson County Solid Waste Management resolution for appropriations and tax rate levy of $1,196,000.00 and total tax rate of 0.0765. George Ankenbrand seconded
the motion and the motion passed 6-0.
Non-Binding Reviews – Jeremy Overton reviewed the non-binding budget reviews and signed and made comments on the review forms.

submitted his annual Conflict of Interest Form to the council.
EMS Director Dan Alvey informed the council that Owensville will not purchase a new ambulance this coming year. He also
asked that two paramedics (Dave Magary and Josh Wickert) drawing 90% of base pay be raised to 94% as per the salary ordinance. That pay will go to 96% January 1, 2013. He also asked
that the newly hired paramedic be paid 94% now and his salary will go to 96% January 1, 2014. Craig Pflug made a motion to approve the request and that the pay goes into effect immediately.
LeAnn Smith seconded the motion and the motion passed 6-0.
Budget Hearing
Salary adjustments were made in line 05-01-21 to $31,964.00, 30-01-14 to $31,964.00, 2001-01-01-18
$31,964.00, 47-01-12 to $31,964.00, 1159-01-01-13 to $31,964.00, 1176-01-01-13 to $31,964.00.
Salary ordinance changes included the above changes and raising the GIS director’s salary
to $47,000.00. Changes were made to the second paragraph to omit the word “all” and replace with “that the number of” and the unlicensed Surveyor salary will be $27,567.00. The required
contribution for the Sheriff’s Retirement Plan will be $191,568.00 for 2013 and the Benefit Plan will be $20,022.00.
Phone line adjustments were made throughout the budget to accommodate
elevators, cell phones and remote EMS bases. If a department has phone bills they are to forward them to the commissioners.
William McConnell left the meeting for an appointment.
