AFFIDAVIT IN PROOF OF HEIRSHIP
�Jilliam D. Bertram, being first duly sworn upon his oath,
deposes and says:
That he is 52 years of age, a resident of R.R. #5, Box 392 -
OLd State Road, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.
That he was one of the heirs-at-law of John C. Bertram,
October 12, 1948
deceased, who died intestate/a resident of Gibson County, in the
State of Indiana, and whose estate was administered in the Gibson
Circuit Court under Estate Dkt. No. T090. That said decedent left
as his sole and only heirs-at-law the following: Anna R. Bertram,
(widow), Clarence W. Bertram (adult-son), William D. Bertram,
(adult son and this affiant), and Irene Bertran, now Irene Bertram
French,(his adult daughter).
That said decedent at the date of his demise was the owner
of the following described parcels of real estate situate in Gibson
County, in the State of Indiana, to-coit:
(1) Oakland City, Gibson County, Indiana, Harper's
Addition - Part Lot #17 and all of Lot #18.
(2) Barton Township, Gibs�n County, Indiana, North-
west quarter Southwest quarter Sec. 30 Tt�rp. 3
south, range 9 west, 48.25 acres.
(3) Town of Somerville, Barton Township, Gibson County,
Indiana, Highland Place, Lots No. 11-12-13 and 15,
and which said real estate descended to said decedent's surviving
widow and heirs-at-law in the pr000rtions fixed by statute.
This affiant further states that the above designated Clarence [J.
Bertram died intestate, a resident of Gibson County, Indiana, on
Septe:nber 6, 1956 and that settlement was had on decedent's estate
in Estate Dkt. No. 2198, Office of the Clerk of the Gibson Circuit
Court.
That the last named decedent left as his soLe and only heirs-
at-law his surviving widow Mabel Bertram, and his adult son, Charles J.
Bertram.

That the said Clarence W. Bertram as one of the heirs-at-
Law of John C. Bertram, deceased, died the oc.mer of an undivided
two-ninths (2/9ths) part in value of each of the following described
parcels of real estate situate in Gibson County, State of Indiana,
to-wit:
Oakland City, Gibson County, Indiana, Harper's Addition,
part Lot 17 and a11 of Lot 18 (Deed Record 109, page
438).
Barton Township, Gibson County, Indiana, northwest
quarter southwest quarter, Section 30, Township 3
south, Range 9 West, 48.25 acres.
Town of Somerville, Barton Township, Gibson County,
Indiana, Highland Place, Lots 11, 12, 13 and 15.
(Deed Record 112, page 589, and Deed Record 108,
page 155);
and which interest in said real estate descended to said decedent's
surviving widow and adult son, a11 as aforesaid, in the proportion
fixed by statute.
This affiant further states that he is fami�liar with the
following described real estate located in the Town of Haubstadt,

Gibson County, State of Indiana, to-wit:
� A.pa'rt�of-the east half (i)of the northeast quarter (',—)
� of the southwest quarter (4) of Section thirty one C31),
Township three (3) south, Range ten (10) west, bounded
as follows: Beginning at a point eighty nine (89) feet
east of a rock situated in the line dividing the lands
formerly owned by Carrie Sollman and Nicholas Adler,
now owned by Theodore A. Stunkel, and running thence
east along the Haubstadt Rock Road two hundred five
(205) feet; thence north two hundred eighty (280) feet;
thence west two hundred five (205) feet; thence south
two hundred eighty (280) feet to the place of beginning,
together with all the privileges and appurtenances
thereto belonging. Deed Record No. 107, page 324,
office of the Recorder of Gibson County, Indiana;
and that he knows of his own knowledge that the above described real
property was formerly owned by John C. Bertram and Anna R. Bertram,
husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety.
Affiant further states that he knotos of his own knowledge that
the said John C. Bertram died (intestate), on or about October 12,
1948, and that the said John C. Bertram and Anna R. Bertram, were
husband and wife, at the date of the death of the said John C. Bertra:n.

Affiant further states that he knows of his own knowledge
that the value of the estate of the said John C. Bertram, deceased,
at the time of his death, within the meaning of the Federal Estate
Tax Laws, �uas less than Sixty Thousand (�60,000.00) Dollars, and
that the estate of said decedent ���as not subject to any Federal
Estate Tax.
This affidavit is made for the purpose of obtaining a transfer
on the Transfer Records in the Office of the Auditor of Gibson
County, Indiana, relative to a11 parcels of real estate situate
in Gibson County, State of Indiana, and.so owned by the said
John C. Bertram at the date of his demise on October 12, 1948, and
for the further purpose of showing the termination of the tenancy
by entirety of all real estate so ot.med by the said John C. Bertram
and Anna R. Bertram, as of October 12, 1948, the same being the
date of the death of the said John C. Bertram, now deceased.
Further this affiant sayeth not.
