AFFIDAVIT A,
Darrell H. Bruce,.being
deposes and says:
rst duly sworn upon his oath,
That he is more than sixty (60) years of age, a resident
of Gibson County, Indiana, and he is a retired farmer.
That he is familiar with the following described real
estate located in Gibson County, Indiana, towit:
A part of the Southeast quarter of Section 23, township 2 south,
range 12 west described as follows to wit: Begin at a point in
the North line in said quarter section 709.5.feet East of the
Northwest corner thereof; thence East 1195.5 feet to a point 792
feet west of the Northeast corner tfiereof; thence South to the
south line thereof; thence West 506,6 feet to a point 1386 feet
East of the Southwest corner thereof; thence North along the center
of a ditch 1688 feet; thence West along said ditch 675,5 feet;'
thence North 952 feet to the place of beginning, containing 45.48
acres.
Also a part of the_Northeast quarter of Section 26, township 2
south, range 12 west described as follows to wit: Begin at a
point in the North line of said quarter section 1386 feet East
of the Northwest corner thereof, and running thence South 1366
feet to the center of an improved road; thence in a southeasterly
direction along the center of said road to a point 332 feet North
and 792 feet west of theSoutheast corner of said quarter section,
and run thence North 2308 feet to the North line thereof; thence
west 506.6 feet to the place of beginning, containing 20,92 acres,
more or less.
Being the same real estate described in"Deed Record 146, page 449,
Office of the Recorder of Gibson County, Indiana;
and that he knows of his own knowledge that said above described
real property was formerly owned by Darrell H, Bruce and Arlene
Bruce, husband and wife as tenants by the entirety.
Affiant further states that he knows of his own knowledge
that the said Arlene Bruce died intestate, on or about March 15, 1963,
and that said Darrell H. Bruce and Arlene Bruce were husband and wife,
at the time of the death of the said Arlene Bruce.
Affiant further states that he knows of his own knowledge
that the value of the estate of the said Arlene Bruce at the time
of her deat}i, within the meaning of the Federal Estate Tax laws, was
less than Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00), and that the estate of
said decedent was not subject to any Federal Estate Tax.
