'�� AFFIDAVIT
The undersigned, John 4.'. Ballard, being first duLy sworn
on oath deposes and says:
That he is now and has been for a period of more than
twenty (20) years last past an active mem6er of the Gibson County
Bar Association and engaged in the active practice of law at Princeton,
Indiana.
That he knows fromtris examination of the records in the
Office of the Clerk and County Assessor of Gibson County, Indiana,
that one Austin Jones died intestate, a resident of Gibson County,
Indiana, on December 24, 1966, and that at the time of his demise
he was the owner of the following described real estate situate in
I,lhite River Township, Gibson County, Indiana:
The Northeast Quarter (NE;) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW;) of Section
28, Township 1 South,�Range 11 West,
containing 40 acres, more or less.
This affiant further says that said decedent left
surviving him as his soLe and onLy heirs-at-law his adult widow,
Ona Jones, residing at Patoka, Indiana, and his adult daughter,
Genevia Joan Schumacher, residing at R.R. #3, OakLand City, Indiana,
and who as the sole heirs-at-Law of said decedent becaae vested
with the title to the real estate as hereinabove described pursuant
to the 1aw of descent of the State of Indiana.
This affiant further knows of his own knowledge that the
Inheritance Tax on the estate of the said Austin Jones, deceased, was
determined by the Gibson Circuit Court in Cause No. PR 67 - 72, and
that a11 Inheritance tax due on decedent`s estate has heretofore been
paid throughthe office of the Treasurer of Gibson County, Indiana.
That this affidavit is made for the purpose of obtaining a
transfer on the tax duplicates in the Office of the Auditor of Gibson
County, Indiana, from the name of Austin Jones to the name of
Ona Jones and Genevia .7oan Schumacher, as said decedent`s soLe
heirs-at-law. '
Further this Affiant sayeth not.
