Aff - Scott, Paul Ewing_4/15/1975 (2)� D. �� AFFIDAVIT FOR TRANSFER OF REAL ESTATE UPON THE TAX DUPLICATE STATE OF INDIANA COUNTY OF GIBSON, SS: PAUL EWING SCOTT, being first duly sworn upon oath, deposes and says: 1. William E. Scott, the father of this affiant and Sylvester Benson Scott, departed,this life, testate, a resident of Gibson�County, Indiana, on March 9th., 1964, and was at the time of his death the owner of the following described real estate, situate in Gibson County, State of Indiana, to-wit: A part of the southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 2 south, Range 12 west, bounded as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the north line of said quarter section 1011.3 feet west of the north- east.corner:ttiereof;- thence south to the center line of a public highway 488 feet north of the south line of said quarter section; thence in an easterly and southeasterly direction along the center line of said highway to a point in the south line of said quarter section 680.3 feet west of the southeast corner of said quarter section; thence west along the south line of said quarter section 1006 feet to a point in said line 1025.7 feet east of the southwest corner of.said quarter section; thence north 2669 feet to a point in the north line of said quarter section 1041.7 feet east of the northwest corner of said quarter section, and thence east 655 feet to the place of beginning, con- taining 42.24 acres, more or less; ALSO, a part of tHe southwest quarter o£ Section 26, Township 2 south, Range 12 west, bounded as follows: Begin at a point in the northwest quarter of the south- west quarter of said section 10.25 chains north of the south line and 11.50 chains west of the east line of said quarter quarter section, and run thence south 10.25 chains to the south line of said quarter quarter section; thence east 1.50 chains; thence south 9.50 chains; thence east to the center line of a public highway; thence in a northerly direction along.the center line of saidhighway to a point due east of the point-of beginning; thence west to the point of beginning, containing 19.30 acres. 2. The Last Will and Testament of the said T9illiam E. Scott was duly probated in the Gibson Circuit Court on March 26, 1964, and appears of record in Will Record Q, page 103, records in the office of the Clerk of said Court; that by virtue of ITEM II of the Last will and Testament the testator, William E. Scott, de- vised and bequeathed the above described real estate to his wife, Lillie Benson Scott,.for and during her natural life, with remainder over to Sylvester Benson Scott and Paul Ewing Scott, this affiant, share and share alike. 3. The above described real estate is now assessed for tax- ation and appears upon the transfer records of Montgomery Township, Gibson County, Indiana, in the name of Lillie Benson Scott, and the said Lillie Benson Scott departed tfiis life on May 9th., 1974, and that title to the above real estate is:.now vested in Sylvester Benson Scott and this affiant, Paul Ewing Scott, and this affidavit is executed to cause the Auditor of Gibson County, Indiana, to \1 � �� transfer ownership of said real estate upon the transfer record of Montgomery Township, Gibson County, Zndiana, to Sylvester Benson Scott and Paul Ewing Scott.
