Re: Sarah L. Stroud Estate
Dear Mr. Lockwood:
I am enclosing a certified copy of the appointment of
Albert Yates as Executor of the estate of Sarah L. Stroud. Mrs.
Stroud's husband is now deceased, having died in September of
1974, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Kentucky law on will contests provides that it
can be done within five years from the date of probate, so the
time has not run for any potential contests. However, this house
and lot, together with slightly over $1,000.00 in the bank here
in Henderson made up all of the assets of Mrs. Stroud's estate
and it is necessary to sell the real property in order to pay
, the debts of the estate. In view of this, it appears that even
though there might be a successful will contest suit, it would
not change the situation because it still would be necessary to
sell the real property to pay the debts.
If there is anything else you need, please let me know.
Very truly yours,
TRIMBLE, CUBBAGE, LINDSAY
& THOMASON
