C:�,RULE r1. �OiIkTICE, now by marriage CAROLE A. SOI'OS,
being first duly sworn on oath, deposes and says:
1. Her former husband, THORNTON W. COURTZCE, died
on December 15, 1987, at which time he was the owner of an
undivided one-half (1/2) interest in and to the following
parcels of real estate, located in Lawrence County, Zllinois,
as to the first parcel, and Gibson County, Indiana, as to the
second parcel:
PARCEL ONE
The middle part of the North part of the
Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter
of Section 7, Township 4 North, Range 12
'v7est oi the seconci principal meri3ian,
Petty Township, Lawrence County, Illinois,
consisting of approximately 9.94 acres.
PARCEL TWO
Part of the Northeast quarter (1/4) of
Section Thirteen (13), Township Four (4)
South Range Ten (10) t9est, Johnson Town-
ship, Gibson County, Indiana, consisting
of one hundred thirty-seven (137) acres,
more or less.
2. On or about the 18th day of March, 1989, the
affiant, as Executrix of the estate of her former husband,
executed deeds referring to the said parcels of real estate,
which deeds were thereafter appropriately recorded in the Re-
corder's offices of the indicated counties;

3. Through inadvertence, the said deeds referred
to the entire real estate parcels (as distinguished from an
undivided one-half (1/2) interest in each), thereby posing a
semantical difference which did or might affect the ownership
of the other portion of the ownership of�said parcels, which
ownership was, at all relevant times, in one CLYDE J. COURTICE,
a brother of the decedeiit;
4. This affidavit is made, executed and recorded
for the sole purpose of clarifying the ownership quantities
of the affiant and the said CLYDE J. COURTICE, each of whom
is the owner of an undivided one-half (1/2) interest in each
of the two parcels.
