TAE DIS-ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LAND TO
TH$ TOWN OF SOMERVILLE, GIBSON COIINTY, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COIINCIL OF SOMERVILLE, INDIANA,
under the authority of Indiana Code 36-4-3-17 sea•, and as amended
as follows:
SECTION l: The following described real estate situate in

within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Somerville, are
hereby dis-annexed and removed as part of the Town of Somerville,
Indiana, for all purposes, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-4-3-et sea•
and more particularly described as follows:
Part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 1, Township 3 South, Range 9 West, Barton Civil
Township, Gibson County, Indiana, and more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a 5/S inch iron pin found at the southwest corner of
said Section 1; thence North 00 degrees 33 minutes 28 seconds East
along the west line of the West Half of said quarter quarter a
distance of 649.85 feet to a point 20 feet south of the
intersection of said west line with the centerline of Main Street
County Road 525 South; thence along a line parallel and 20 feet
southerly to said centerline the following bearings and distances:

turning to the left with an arc length of 224.23 feet; with a
radius of 1659.77 feet; with a chord bearing of North 84 degrees 55
:minutes 21 seconds East, and with a chord length of 224.06 feet to
a point on the east line of the west Half of said quarter quarter;
thence South 00 degrees 31 minutes 10 seconds West along said east
line 640.09 feet to the southeast corner of said West Half; thence
South 86 degrees 22 minutes 53 seconds West along the south line of
said West Half 671.03 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing
9.84 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2: The Council finds that Fifty-one Percent (51�)
or more in owners of the lots in the addition hereinabove described

have consulted to the dis-annexation. Council further finds that
no written remonstrances were filed after notice given of said
hearing on this date.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-4-3-17, in the absence of
remonstrance and a�peal, sixty (60) days after final publication
hereof, and the Clerk-Treasurer of Somerville, Indiana is hereby
directed to publish this Ordinance as required by law.
S�CTION 4: Should anY section, subsection, paragraph or
provision of this Ordinance be declared to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof other than the parts
so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Town Council of
Somerville, Indiana and publication as required by law.
