AN ORDINANCE FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, Oakland City,Indiana, City Council have expressed interest in Voluntary
Annexation into the corporate boundaries of Oakland City, Indiana and filed their petition with
the City of Oakland City;
WHEREAS,the Citizens have petitioned Oakland City for voluntary annexation, with
descriptions described in Exhibit "A".
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Oakland City,Indiana as follows:
Section 1; The land set forth in the Petition is contiguous with Oakland City's
corporate boundaries.
. Section 2: The land described herein in Exhibit"A" is annexed pursuant to Indiana
Code.
Section 3; The written Fiscal plan attached hereto and marked Exhibit"B" is hereby
incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein. A copy of the Fiscal Plan shall be on
: file with the Clerk-Treasurer of Oakland City, Indiana. The said Fiscal Plan shall not be
published with this Ordinance.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall assign the above described real estate and its
residents to the City of Oakland City municipal legislative body; and
$ection 5; This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect pursuant to Indiana Code, in
absence of remonstrance and appeal, sixty (60)days after its publication hereof, and the Clerk-Treasurer
of Oakland City,Indiana is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance and file copies with the appropriate
State Administrator as required by statute.
• Section 6: If any section,subsection, paragraph or provision of the Ordinance is declared to
be invalid or unconstitutional,such decision shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or
any part thereof other than the parts so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 7: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and.
from and after publication as required by law. •

ORDER OF DISANNEXATION
This matter having come before the Board of Works of the
City Of Oakland City, Indiana on the verified Petition for
Disannexation filed herein by James Broshears; Jeanette
Broshears; Bruce Alan Duncan; Pamela Jean Duncan; Floyd Seramur;
Mary Seramur; James Seramur; Faye Seramur; James T. Hunter; Paige
Hunter; Jane McCandless; Louise Harden; and Jeanette Broshears
pursuant to Indiana Code 36-4-3-17, and the Board having
considered the verified Petition for Disannexation after public
hearing thereon and being duly advised in the premises finds as
follows :
1 . The Petitioners are the owners of that certain real
estate as more clearly identified on Exhibit A attached hereto
and made a part hereof by reference .
2 . The real estate is a contiguous parcel that is not
platted and is in excess of one (1) acre in total area.
3 . The real estate is within the corporate boundaries of
the municipality of Oakland City, Gibson County, Indiana.

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED by the Board
of Works of the City of Oakland City, Indiana that the verified
Petition for Disannexation be approved and the real estate as
more clearly described on Exhibit B (map shown as Exhibit C) is
hereby disannexed from the municipality of Oakland City, Gibson
County, Indiana.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that not later
than ten (10) days from date of this Order the Clerk-Treasurer of
the City of Oakland City, Indiana shall make and certify a copies
of this Order and shall file the same in the offices of the
Auditor and Clerk of Gibson County, Indiana.
