ORDINANCE NO. 2025 D/
PRINCETON CITY COUNCIL
AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE SOUTH MAPLE AVE
WHFRFAS, Pursuant to LC 36-7-3-12 the Princeton City Council, Princeton,
Gibson County, Indiana have received a Petition to Vacate a Portion of South Maple
Ave., from the point between W Makeson Ave. and West Kentucky, all within the
corporate limits of City of Princeton.
WHEREAS, the road way is not open and is not needed, Vacation of the road
way would not hinder orderly development of the neighborhood in which it is located
or to which it is contiguous, would not make access to any lands different or
inconvenient, would not hinder the public's access to a church, school or other public
building or place, and would not louder We use of a public way by the neighborhood in
which it is located or to which it is contiguous, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with IC 36-7-3-16, vacation of the public road way i
will not deprive a public utility of the use of all or part of the vacated road, and vacation'
of the road will have to effect on any public utility that has utilities in the vacated road/ \ aCC-1
and there are no sewer utilities in the road, and '/
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been eld on the Petition within thirty (30) d s
\ \
of receipt, and
WHEREAS, notice of the u p blic hearing on the Petition was given by certified
mail to all owners of land that abuts the road way or by manner prescribed in 1.C. 5-3-1.
WHEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Princeton City Council, Princeton,
Gibson County as follows:
SECTION 1: South Maple Ave from intersection of West Makeson Ave.
North a distance of 345 feet North and 50.1 feet wide be and hereby vacated.
SECTION 2: In accordance with I.C. 36-7-3-16, vacation of the road way
will not deprive the public utility having electric utility lines in the vacated road way of
the use of all or part of the vacated roadway, and vacation of the roadway will have no
effect on any public utility that has utilities in the vacated roadway.
SECTION 3: In accordance with I.C. 36-7-3-3-12, within 30 days of the A, � ll
adoption of this ordinance, a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Auditor's Ied khVcyS
Office of Gibson County, Indiana.
