2027 Budget Meeting
August 11, 2026

Council Members present:
• President Jeremy Overton

• Council Member Robert Schleter
• Council Member Michael Stilwell
Also present:
• Auditor Michael A. Watkins, until 11:30 a.m.
• First Deputy Auditor Kristy York and Second Deputy Auditor Logan Vickers
The Council directed the Auditor's Office to recompute wages for all hourly employees to include a $0.75
per hour increase. The Council also directed that all elected officials and the Courthouse Maintenance
Director receive a $2,600 annual increase equivalent to $1.25 per hour, except for the Council, the
Commissioners, and those elected officials whose compensation is set by the State.
The Council directed that line item 40300, Aerial Photography, in the General Fund Assessor's budget be
moved to Riverboat Fund.
The Council directed that line item 32106, Portable Radios, in the General Fund Sheriff's budget be
moved to Riverboat Fund.
The Council will conduct another review after these changes are presented at the Budget Public Hearing
on August 18, 2026.

The meeting was adjourned by the Council at 12:00 p.m.
